Kenshaw Electric Motor Services offers comprehensive services for rewinding, repairs, and modifications. Our workshop and repair services encompass a wide range of activities, including preventative maintenance, overhauls, repairs, and rewinding.

We also provide testing and balancing of rotating parts and modifications to meet your operational requirements.

• AC Motors: Our workshop can modify and upgrade motors to customer specifications. This includes machining and modifications to shafts and bearing housings, machining for purpose-built machines, and the supply and fitting of electric brakes (AC/DC). We also offer tropical proofing and IP rating upgrades.
• DC Motors: With over 30 years of industry experience, we specialise in the repair and maintenance of DC machines. Our capabilities include overhauls, rewinds, new commutator supply, armature rewinding, interpole and field coil rewinds (round wire or sectional copper), commutator profiling, vacuum pressure impregnation, and armature balancing.
• Hazardous Motors: Our workshop is authorised to repair and overhaul hazardous area (Ex) electrical motors for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. We are certified as an ANZEx service facility and licensed by NSW Trade & Investments Mine Safety. Our services include repairs for Ex d (Flameproof), Ex e (Increased Safety), and Ex t (Dust Ingress Protection) motors.
• Pumps: We offer repair services for a variety of pump makes and models. Our services include overhauls, stator rewinds, shaft repairs, cable replacement, and balancing of impellers.
• Generators and Alternators: Working alongside our Generators Team, our workshop carries out overhauls, repairs, and rewinds for generators and alternators. This includes rewinds to stators, rotors, and exciters, replacement parts, and balancing.
• Fans and Impellers: We provide dynamic balancing using Dyna Balance equipment. Our services include dynamic balancing up to 5.5 tonnes and 2.9 metres in diameter, grit blasting and priming, and painting.
